So Keith is good at that, at waiting, at longing. No one would think that patience is a strength of his but perhaps that is because, more aptly put, it is actually his weakness. For when Keith waits, it seems, he always waits a little too long. He always misses the right moment.
Maybe, he muses in retrospect, that is because the right moment never existed in the first place.

Summary
Seven years after Voltron’s departure, the fledgling Galactic Coalition works to forge new alliances with far off planets and and build up a galaxy-wide infrastructure of teludavs with permanently open wormholes. When one tenuous new alliance is threatened by Galran Separatists, the Coalition sends its flagship, the IGF-Atlas, on a diplomatic mission to the planet Joraq.
Keith has had his fair share of risky assignments during his time as a Blade of Marmora spy and undercover agent. But when he’s sent to Atlas to aid in a diplomatic mission, Keith has to face the people he left behind and the feelings he ran away from. Returning back to Atlas means facing the consequences of old decisions as he’s thrown back into the orbit of the one man he thought he’d never see again.

Summary
If Shiro's life were a movie, this would be the part where the music would swell and everything would slow down.
He's not sure how long he stands there, just watching, but it's not until another hotel patron brushes past him that Shiro comes back down to Earth. Thank God Keith hasn't seen him yet. Meeting eyes from across the room seems romantic in theory, but Shiro's pretty sure his open staring would be anything but in reality. Better going for a smooth introduction, he decides, steeling himself and walking over with confidence he doesn't feel.
