Summary
And isn’t that what they are, really, at the end of the day? When you strip away the honorifics and the bravado and the prowess? Mirrors. Parallels. An echo of a thing once loved and twice forgotten. Hellrider Exile. The Hero of the Gate. Names in history books that will be forgotten long before they’re dead and gone.

Summary
She considers the balance of nature versus nurture; could he have bloomed into something softer, had things been different? Taken away from the bloodshed, from the Illithid influence, from the looming presence of the Absolute?
Or was he just a goblin, and she was making a mad dash towards the far side of crazy?

Summary
Her teenage years were marked by the syrupy sweet burn of Fireball snuck under her parent’s noses, bible study on Wednesday nights, and church every Sunday. A large congregation numbering in the thousands, projectors with lyrics to some Christian rock song she’d unconsciously learned every word to, memorizing all the books of both the Old and New Testament in order for a coupon for a free drink at the coffee bar downstairs.
And Geraldus. There was always Geraldus.

Summary
There’s nothing hurried or lecherous about this - it’s about the intimacy, the bonding, the ritual of it all.
What a dreadful fate, to be loved.

Summary
Getting him to be anything other than self-sacrificial is a task akin to pulling teeth even on the best of days. He runs himself ragged constantly, all weeping edges. Nose to the grindstone until there’s little left but marrow. It makes her chest ache, truthfully; the extent to which he is willing to go in some misguided venture to prove himself.
He doesn’t have to prove himself to anyone, anymore.

Summary
I think it goes without saying that you have a room here--anytime.
When Rolan and his family offered Tav a place to stay, she thought it would only be temporary--a few days at most. But the handsome master of Ramazith's Tower, grumpy as he was, seemed to have a soft spot for this exhausted adventurer.
And a brief respite soon became a permanent residence.

Summary
Rolan miserably fucks a pillow while thinking big thoughts. He thinks about how obnoxious you are and how it's completely unfair that you've forced him into such a state. Unfortunately for him, his train of thought betrays his determination to hate you.
What are you to do now? Storm Ramazith’s tower atop a glittering pegasus? Perhaps you’ll declare him a poor maiden in need of a hero and expect him to swoon and fall at your feet? Should he kiss you for luck as well? Give you a handkerchief? For all the painful obedience he’s given to Lorroakan, it would be a simple thing to give it to you instead, wouldn’t it? So far you’ve asked for nothing, (not that he would’ve given you anything besides a pinched declaration of thanks) but surely his bill is due soon.
Surely you’ll come to collect since you’re so adept at finding him no matter his location.

Summary
Locked away behind his coldness, his truest self wants him to comfort her in some way — a gentle word, an understanding gaze, hells, even a light embrace. But his heart, his errant, foolish heart, urges him to pull away. To put a safe distance between them.
If you break now, and this drow comes to see you fondly, it whispers, you will never be able to recover from what you will have to endure. If you think you know loss now, you are just as worthless as they told you — you will not survive this a second time.
Rolan makes up his mind. Lightning can strike twice, after all, and there's no use in flying kites in thunderstorms.
—
A retelling of Rolan's story throughout the game — imagining why he might be so reluctant to accept help back at the grove, with a musical twist.
