Hesitation.
Gen felt his heart beat heavily in his chest as both reality and revelation cascaded over him. Never in a million years had he thought that this could be a possible outcome, nonetheless the current deck he was now being forced to play. He hugged his body tightly and flashed a staged smile as he slowly looked into his eyes. They told such a somber story, one fueled by thoughts of confusion and determination.
When he thought back to what started all of this, he was nothing short of amazed. How did he not see the signs? How did he not notice the changes in behavior and the way he would speak to him? Why did he keep himself so blinded and ignorant of the truth?Why did he feel as though he could not let go?
~~~~~A fic where Senku realizes his feelings for Gen during the festival, and Gen realizes that he can finally be free.

But as he explains it, Gen feels bad. And he can’t understand why. “I lied from the beginning. Never told the truth. And I started telling the truth at the end. I played on your paranoia.”
And after few seconds of taking it in, Senku is grinning again. “Shit, nicely played.”
His words, they’re so genuine.-
It's easy for Gen to lie. It's easy for him to get what he wants. If someone gets hurt in the process, then so be it. But he an't find himself lying to Senku, who is the very essence of honesty, seeking truth through science.

Summary
Gen was honestly relieved. Sleeping in trees hurt his back. The hard ground wasn’t much better, but the slight cushion of the futon helped and the blanket was better than his haori. He curled up on his side, asleep within minutes, only to wake hours later, sun in his eyes, and Senku’s smug smirk greeting him cheerfully.
Gen debated on moving his bed so the sun won’t wake him, or even hanging up curtains to block it out, but he was also stubborn. He enjoys Senku’s scowl every evening as he noticed the bed hadn’t been moved.
It’s worth the sun in his eyes.

“When I was in Tsukasa’s camp,” Gen said, without looking at Senku, “I couldn’t stop thinking about your light.” Months and months had passed since those days, but nevertheless they stuck with him.
Both of them were leant over the edge of Senku’s observatory. Gen’s fingers plucked at the sleeves of his attire, and from the corner of his eye he could tell that Senku was looking at him, but he couldn’t rip his eyes from the light which emanated from the huts below. Inside, he knew there were villagers cosied around hearths, hard at work or sleeping away their effort. He could practically feel the heat from where he stood.
“I told you I could be convincing,” Senku returned.

It shouldn’t be a surprise anymore.
With it being the dead of winter, with no alarms and in newly heated huts, it shouldn’t surprise Senku that getting up in the morning could be so difficult. And now, with his new bedmate, extracting himself from the warm cocoon they made for themselves every morning was exceedingly harder.
For the Prompt: If you're still doing sengen requests!!: I imagine Gen is extra cuddly and clingy when he's tired, and one morning it's especially hard for Senku to get Gen to let go of him and get out of bed because god damn it they have work to do but Gen is not making this easy(bonus if Senku receives lots of sleepy kisses from Gen)

They won. Somehow they won. Like most victories, it took a second to sink in. Ibara had been beaten. The science Senku poured his heart into won against their enemy once again. Senku sat on the cliff, breathing heavily for a few minutes, absorbing it. All of their efforts weren’t for naught, and while it was their toughest battle yet, they managed to scrape through okay.
It should’ve been easy.
For the Prompt: Prompt: After the Treasure island battle, Senku is depetrifying his friends left & right but when it's time to bring back Gen they find his statue broken. It makes Senku angry but he shrugs it off since they can just put Gen back together until he realizes that a chunk of the statue is missing. Cue a near panic attack at the thought of Senku losing someone else he cares about that he tries to play off but Taiju/Yuzu see past it and reassure him. After bringing Gen back Senku is extra clingy ;w;
