Summary
Manousous tunes the portable radio to 8.6130 KHz. He beckons Carol into the cage and seals the door. It does nothing for a little while. Carol feels the weight of impending failure ripening in her stomach. Then a fizzle. The four beats turn to static, and the radio cuts out intermittently. Carol cheers, whooping excitedly. Manousous startles, and Carol riles him up.
“This – oh my god, we did it!”
Manousous doesn’t understand her words. But he does understand her emotions. He feels them, himself. He grins, whooping simultaneously.

Deplurbed Zosia, because it's all my brain can think of recently, apparently. This is a write of what I think the process and aftermath would be. This will probably immediately become non canon-compliant the second s2 comes out, but we've got two years until then.

Summary
The concept of suffering a separation while in the midst of the magnitude of the Joining was... disconcerting, to say the least.
Zosia had been claimed and had been discarded. But even after that, in amidst of sleepless nights soaked by whisky, Zosia was still needed – in safe doses and at safe distant – for Carol Sturka and all her contradictions.

Summary
For only a second, and maybe she imagined it, Carol thought she saw a glimmer of the most human expression Zosia had worn yet: annoyance.
“And you’ll still be working on reversing this?” Zosia asked.
“We wouldn’t be very good heroes if we didn’t, now would we?”
