The Avengers have been looking for the last widow for months now, with no result. She is different from the others, she doesn't kill because she has to, she kills because she wants to. She loves the feeling of seeing her victim lying lifeless in front of her, blood spreading on the floor.
She's a menace and she has to be stopped, everyone is putting all their effort and resources in trying to find her but it seems impossible. widows are trained to be invisible. Natasha and Bucky know it better than anyone.
They managed to hack her laptop months ago but the only thing they can see is the next target, which doesn't really help.

where Bucky and y/n used to be part of the avengers together and despite her trying not to like him too much and to keep their relationship strictly formal she ended up dating him anyway.
everything was perfect between them until the blip happened, he had proposed to her few days before he turned into dust, she didn't though, and when he reappeared things where different, even if they tried to hide it.
her father had just sacrificed himself to save the world and maybe she just didn't want to talk about it, it was fine, but he could feel her slowly drifting away, he tried to hold her until he just couldn't do it anymore, so he let go.when they took different paths they certainly didn't expect to meet again, not like that at least.
what a deja-vu, working together to protect the world, but they weren't the avengers, and they barely spoke, a lot of time had passed but the wound was still fresh, especially for him. -
