It's not because he wants to be brave, to push through it all and be strong. It's not because he doesn't want to worry anyone. And it's not because he wants to keep his feelings a secret. Rather, it's because he doesn't know who his love is.

NEBULA is the first 'unsuccessful' group under Star Stream Entertainment. Unsuccessful in the sense that they have a small-knit fandom and are not very popular, even though the group just before them had become very well-known. You see, it's a hit to the company's ego.
It's not that they're untalented. Far from it, in fact. They're more talented than many of the more popular chaebol groups.
Perhaps it's because of internal disharmony.
Kim Dokja and Yoo Junghyeok hate each other. Well, not hate, but Kim Dokja is intimidated by Yoo Junghyeok but still pesters him, and Yoo Junghyeok is irritated by him BECAUSE he pesters him. They have been at odds since trainee days.
However, when a fan records an out-of-context video of them, of Junghyeok choking Dokja because he was too pissed off, and it goes viral, the company knows just what to do to launch them to popularity.
Fanservice is the way to go, baby.

"…You" a low rumbling but smooth voice, penetrated the air. Time seemed to slow down or maybe his thoughts were just speeding up to consciously hear the sound that graced his ears. The voice which rich carried a hint of a rasps, the perfect amount to pull one in. It was a voice that could demand ones attention without even needing to raise one decibel. Dokja could envision just the face that belonged to a voice such as this, a face sculptured by those graced by the universe themselves and eyes that could suck one in and hair that one would not only be envious of the one who wears it but for even the fallen leaves that can have the honor of landing in it.
The person on the other end having heard no response to his questions and unaware of a earth shattering dilemma occupying a certain almost 30 year old squid demands "Who is this?"
Or: Kim Dokja gets fired after 4 years at minosoft and is ploped at Sooyoung's apartment by Kim Com. Where the concierge's voice makes Dokja's heart race so he rage baits him to daily convos over the room intercom.

Perhaps the scent was misleading Joonghyuk to think that his companion was an Alpha, after all, companions often had the tendency to relatively awaken the same secondary sex.
He'll soon realize how wrong he was.
___________________________________________________A hidden scenario, just for KimCom, occurred.
The others—aside from Han Sooyoung and Kim Dokja—panicked, turns out, the word "Omegaverse", "Secondary sex", "Alpha/Beta/Omega" was unfamiliar to them.Han Sooyoung and the others can handle it.
If the scenario was for KimCom specifically, why did it feel special for both the protagonist and his interfering companion?

Joonghyuk didn’t respond immediately. His brows remained faintly furrowed, his attention fixed entirely on the pan in front of him. He watched the meat closely, observing the way the marinade darkened under heat, waiting for the exact moment when it reached the right balance before removing it.
Only once that delicate, time-sensitive step was complete did he finally move.
He set everything aside with efficiency before turning, his arms coming up to wrap around Dokja in a sudden gesture. He leaned in, nuzzling his nose lightly against Dokja’s face, his way of apologizing for not responding right away.
Winter used to mean loneliness for Kim Dokja: short days, long nights, and the quiet ache of nothing changing. Now, it means coming home.
