Summary
Most soulmate bonds do not interfere with the livelihood of the two bonded lovers and tend to consistently remain stable. At most, the soulmates will feel a sense of enhanced happiness upon recognizing each other and from nurturing their bond.
In rare cases, however, the bond is too strong that it becomes abnormally unstable and sensitive to disturbances. Soulmate bond instability can lead to life-altering consequences ranging from severe depression, muscle paralysis, death or, in the most extreme cases, time travel.
Both Oscar and Lando thought they had found their soulmates. Yet, here they were both on different sides of the world on New Year’s Day following the 2025 season, waking up to 2025 for the second time without knowing why.
Oh, and neither knows that the other returned back in time as well.

Summary
The hitman was staring at him. The two locked eyes. 81’s face changed imperceptibly, his eyebrow lifting in what felt like a challenge. Lando looked away quickly.
“Fuck.” He muttered, staring down at his rum and coke, hands gripping the glass. From his periphery he saw a figure approach, agonisingly slow.
“Lan? What’s wrong?” Alex called worriedly in his ear.
The hitman sat down beside him. Facing forward, his knee came to rest against Lando’s. The touch sent a jolt through Lando, who bit his lip in an attempt to calm himself.
“Whisky.” The hitman said to the worker. He was Australian? That was certainly valuable information. If he could leave this bar alive to tell it.
Or, Oscar is a powerful and thus far anonymous hitman working for a corrupt government. Lando is a political vigilante trying to stop him. All Oscar sees is a pretty boy sitting alone at the bar.

Summary
"If it makes you feel any better," Oscar startled at his mother's voice, "I've never heard of anyone seriously carrying a grudge over a soulmate bruise."
"I know..." He hesitated, staring at the floor, "It's not that, not really."
"Feeling guilty then?" She guessed.
He let out the breath he'd been holding and met her eyes in the mirror. She was leaning against the door frame, arms crossed, a rather fond grin on her face.
"I don't want to hurt them. But I don't want to stop racing either."
She nodded in understanding, "And you can't do both."
(oh look it's another soulmates sharing bruises au. title from the exit by conan gray bc exactly two lines from the song fit the fic)

Summary
"I rather think I have been nice so far but believe me, sweetheart, I can not be. I can be rough, and angry, and frustrated. Deny me your kiss any further and you will experience all three."
Lando stared at him.
The Devil. Satan. Lucifer. Oscar. The Lightbringer, himself. Was begging Lando to kiss him. It obviously didn't mean to sound like it, but Lando heard it underneath the subtle threats.
He almost wanted to laugh.
