“Sit, boy.” Nestra’s voice cut through the room, all pretense gone. He hesitated, because honestly he’d rather now fling himself out the window than go back to that chair. “Don’t test me.”
Okay. All right. He was fine. Really, he was. He could handle this. He’d handled worse. Surely he could just brush off his mother. But…but his hands shook, muscles twitched and tensed, remembering how that tone always brought pain.
Haltingly, hating himself, Ominis walked back to the chair and sat down. “What is it you want, mother?”
“Holidays are soon. You will return to Gaunt Manor for them.”
“And why would I do that?”
“To pick a wife.”

For a long time they only stared, the breath of Dathomir starting to howl outside the walls. She must know, Maul thought, that she would be losing more tonight.
"Come with me," Maul finally breathed, holding his hand out again. "I will take you away from here."

Summary
Another series which I may or may not add to, as the bulk of things happen over RP with nostromoose, but sometimes I wrote drabbles and sometimes I might post RPs.
This series follows the generational story of Jedi Master Kethra, her leaving the order, her son, her padawan, and her padawan's padawan. Her story is firmly entwined with Qui-Gon's and Obi-Wan's, and her actions and inaction have far reaching consequences. (Also tropes!!!)
