Buck stared at his boyfriend in confusion, trying to wrap his head around the words that he had just said.
“You…you’re…you’re doing a full calendar for the LAFD? And a magazine article spread?”
Tommy let out a put upon sigh as he continued to cook his breakfast, pushing the eggs around the pan as if they had personally offended him and said, “Unfortunately, yes. I would have said no, but the money I’ll be making from it is—quite frankly—ridiculous,” he explained. “It’s practically a full year’s salary up front and do you know what I could do with that money?”
(aka the fic that no one asked for where Tommy is selected to be the new face for the LAFD and Buck has to try and figure out how to deal with everyone now lusting after his boyfriend)

Summary
Evan Buckley has only ever had one heat in his life, when he presented far too early at just thirteen years old, and he's been on heat suppressants ever since, and no one knows that he's an omega except his sister, his parents, and his doctors. Now, at thirty-two, when Eddie finds out that his best friend is on suppressants, he assumes they're for an alpha and those are experimental at best, so he gets rid of them. Unfortunately for Buck, that means that his heat that he's avoided for nearly 20 years has come to visit, and he's left vulnerable. Thankfully for him, his boyfriend, Tommy Kinard is an understanding and extremely generous alpha who will give him anything he wants, up to and including his very first knot.

Buck shrugged, "Couldn't sleep."
"Well, you're definitely not gonna sleep now. All that sugar and caffeine is gonna be super helpful when you're at work."
It was Buck's turn to snicker this time. "Might be helpful then. I'm a firefighter so probably will need the sugar and caffeine" The guy raised a brow at him. "No kidding? I'm a firefighter too." He stuck out his hand for Buck to shake, "Captain Sal DeLuca. Down at the Long Beach station 12."
Buck shook the man's hand. "NIce to meet you."
"Likewise." Sal nodded his head towards Buck. "What got you so wired?"

Summary
“Oh, he wishes!” Tommy scoffed playfully, deciding to ignore the not-at-all-convincing expression, the corners of his mouth ticking upward as he looked down at Little Man, rocking him gently. “He’s actually eternally on my craplist because he peed on me when I changed him and now my shirt smells like piss.” He started tickling Little Man’s belly, drawing out a few small grunts that could almost be mistaken for a laugh if you were feeling generous. “You’re a little pee machine, huh?”
Hen’s expression softened, though there was something in her eyes that Tommy couldn’t quite place. She hesitated for a moment before finally pulling a stethoscope out of her bag. “Alright, baby boy,” she said, reaching for the baby. “Time to see how you really are.”
Almost instinctively, Tommy took a step back, pulling Little Man closer. “Yeah, I don’t think that’s a good idea. Can you do it while I hold him?”

While Tommy is the Man Behind on one of his ground days, a baby is left in the 217's Safe Haven box. It takes about three second for him to get attached to the Little Man.
