But after a chance encounter with Sephiroth at the Junior World Championships left him reeling, the only solace Cloud could find was in chasing his former hero's shadow.

    One day he would beat him. He would take everything from him. And when he did, he would look down at Sephiroth from the top of that podium and etch his moment of defeat into his memory forever.

    Neither would back down. Their thirst for victory would create a rivalry for the ages.
