“Do you stand over all of your friends and heavily breathe while you watch them sleep?” Yuma whispered, turning around from his desk to peer at Jo. There was a light tease in his voice, like the whole situation was a joke, but that didn’t stop Jo’s face from flushing with the most intense red colored embarrassment he had ever felt.
“N-No-“ he stammered, jaw suddenly opening and closing without being able to get anymore words out.
Yuma grinned, snaggletooth poking into his bottom lip. He watched Jo's eyes flit down to where the pointed tooth was and he bit down a little harder. Jo couldn't help but watch as the skin of Yuma's lips were pulled taut, caught between his tooth and gum.
"I understand now."

“Friend dates,” he corrected with a confident wink. “It’s no big deal, we hang out all the time anyway. We’re just changing the context a bit.”
