Summary
He got dumped.
Which, in hindsight, is kind of hilarious.
Also in hindsight, it should have been obvious. When actually considering the way things had been for, really, quite a while now, Kiyoomi finds that he honestly should have seen it coming.
What he didn’t expect was just how much Miya Atsumu would feel the need to stick his nose where it doesn’t belong.
Or, Kiyoomi gets dumped. Atsumu does what he can.

Summary
"Ya lost?" he chuckles breathlessly. In the same accent and tone as the man behind the counter. Kiyoomi's onyx eyes met honey brown, and he cleared his throat. Kiyoomi nodded.
"Yeah, um." he nodded behind him to the bar. "He said you could help me." His eyebrows furrowed at his bluntness. Kiyoomi never knew how to act in front of an attractive man.
The two men had very similar facial structures. Atsumu's eyelashes were just a bit longer, and he had fuller, pinker lips. God, why was he looking at his lips?
or Sakusa Kiyoomi tries to get away from the loud city for a while just to run into a country boy with blonde hair that completely wrecked his train of thought at first glance

Summary
Sakusa dislocates his knee during a match and ends up getting benched for the whole season.
Atsumu personally decides that he's going to do everything he can to help him until he's better but in that process he learns that his teammate and long time crush actually has a semi-rare medical condition known as Ehler's Danlos Syndrome.
What's even more jarring than the condition itself though, is just how hard the two of them are falling for each other.
(Fun fact: I also have heds so this is probably going to contain a lot of my own personal experiences with the condition but it's worth noting that there's 13 different types of heds and probably about a million different comorbidities that you could have)
Rated M but only for medical details, language, and jokes. The rest of this is supposed to be soft and sweet.

Summary
Having a red string that looks like it leads to nowhere is cruel, but having one that actually leads to Miya Fucking Atsumu of all people is basically torture.
Or
Sakusa Kiyoomi is pissed because of all the people on the planet, the universe just had to pick this asshole as his soulmate, and the best / worst part is that Atsumu has no idea.
