Summary
Ed realizes after a while living in the inn that he put on a lot of weight, coming up on issues that happened slowly but hit him all at once as he needs to check on Stede who seemed to have disappeared. Insecurities abound and Stede is more than happy to remedy any misunderstandings or misgivings Ed has.

Summary
Stede is used to being alone. From a childhood as an outcast until his untimely and ultimately untrue death in 1718, to an unnaturally eternal life given by an accident, followed by an accidental murder. He gets lonely and hungry often enough he thinks that’s what his life has to be, living alone and hating himself for the rest of his unnatural life.
Then, he opens a dating app trying to find a dinner date, to drain and more or less dump immediately, and finds that some things may just be worth the risks, if he can play his cards right and hide his nature long enough and keep his bloodlust in check, anyway.

Summary
Ed is bored. With his life, with how he has to live, all of it. One man keeps him doing what he’s still doing and is liable to keep doing until he dies, and it’s definitely not Izzy, who’s getting more volatile by the day. It’s one Stede Bonnet, the aristocrat he met at a masquerade ball he crashed and told he’d be at sea if he ever changed his mind on running away with him. When Izzy tells him he’s got work to do, he drags his feet. Until he finds out who’s on the tiny ship Izzy wouldn't let him leave alone. He’s really going to have to play his cards right as nothing goes as planned for their utterly unromantic reunion.
For clarity, this fic takes place around 3-4 months after Unmasked! ends. the prior work is complete but this work references that one heavily and leans on its premise.

Summary
Stede is used to failing at things, even relationships, the one he had that ended in divorce anyway. He’s doing alright running a bakery, though, until and including the point when a leather-clad man walks in and keeps visiting, he’s got to wonder if he’s willing to risk falling for a guy he feels he barely knows at all.
Ed is used to a lot of things, mainly how his sweet tooth is overwhelmingly present in his life, not that he minds that fact. He’s gotten to feeling alright with learning about his insatiable appetite, and finds a bakery near his work, and the adorable blond guy who works at the counter. He’d like to not scare him off, if he can, as his clothes disagree utterly with the rate he visits that guy and devours the delicious food he sells. He’s never had a crush ruin so much of his wardrobe, but he doesn’t mind it, because he really likes the guy's company, and would like a relationship with him.
If only they could figure out exactly how to say all of that out loud to each other…

Summary
Izzy Hands used to be a lot of things, including the first mate of the infamous pirate Blackbeard, a close friend of Ed Teach (several years ago, not so much anymore), someone that same man confided in for a decade, a man who pined worthlessly over someone who never loved him back and he used to be one of the most seasoned and feared pirates on the sea. Most recently though, he used to be dead.
That last one is an issue, to say the least, among the dozen other issues he’d spent his life running away from and ignoring. He woke up confused, covered in dirt and dried blood, with no idea where he was or how he got there. The seagull who seems to have brought him back to life isn’t forthcoming with any fucking details either.
He learns eventually that his old boss is… retired, as far as he can tell, and staying in… a run down shack of a building, for God knows what reason.
At least he can live in some amount of peace and quiet, after he was killed and torn away from the life he started enjoying again, right?
He can only hope that’s what he’s allowed, after all the shit he went through.

Summary
Izzy Hands is dead, or he seems that way at least. Ed and Stede try to work out how to function as a couple, and work around the fact that someone Ed knew for so long wasn’t alive anymore, and that he might’ve had romantic feelings for him. That gets even more complicated when Ed doesn’t want to wear his leathers and Stede has an idea on how to make them permanently unwearable. It goes alright, considering the circumstances.
Until the man comes back, anyway. Izzy copes with sudden life, which he’s not sure he even wants, but decides to stubbornly force himself to try it, least until he’s got a plan to leave wherever he ended up without getting found, sleeping outside the shack that his old bosses decided on living in, whatever they decided to do besides being pirates. This plan doesn’t go well, of course, but he does try his best to make he plan work.
Maybe a relationship can work out between them, after everything, after years of wondering and wanting hopelessly, because some things just take time.
