Summary
“Frank, please,” she tries again, listening as he mumbles something down the line about where are my fucking shoes and Christ who left that chair there.
In any other situation, she would find his concern endearing and charming and all-around heartbreaking in a way that she should probably find the time and money to speak to a therapist about, but not tonight. Not right now.
“Please, I don’t want to cause a scene,” she whispers. “I don’t – I don’t want to answer questions.”

Summary
“We’ve received a report of a mass casualty incident by Penn Station,” Abbot said frankly, one hand hanging off his bulky vest. “The city’s asked that we send a team to the scene to respond.”
A wave of murmurings and soft inhales passed over them. Mel’s brow furrowed.
“What happened?” McKay asked.
Abbot was brisk. “The Amtrak derailed into traffic. Initial casualties are in the dozens, but we’re likely looking at more, which is why we’re complying with the city’s ask. I’ll be leading a team onto the site - I need a team of volunteers to come with me for on-site triage.”

"I’ve been thinking about it for weeks," he says. "And the only possible explanation I’ve come up with is that it’s a Jekyll and Hyde thing, except instead of a potion it’s her fucking car keys.”
