Summary
[Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov sit in director's chairs in the Ottawa Centaurs locker room. Across from them in similar style chairs sits Zane Boodram, Wyatt Hayes, Luca Haas and Troy Barrett. There's a white board behind them that reads 'Shane or Anya' in bold block letters. Generic game show music plays in the background.]
Ilya: Hi, I'm Ilya Rozanov.
Shane: And I'm Shane Hollander.
Ilya: And why are we here today, Shane?
Shane: Because Harris is really quick to bring up our contractual obligation?
Ilya: And?
[Ilya gestures to their four teammates and the board behind them.]
Shane: Oh, uh, I guess we're here to play a game or whatever.
Ilya: Which game is that?
Shane: You could just tell them, you know.
Ilya: Yes, but that wouldn't annoy you.
Shane: Our friends are here to guess whether a disgustingly sweet statement you made is about me or our dog.
[An image of Anya, a medium sized brown and white dog wearing a strawberry patterned dog coat with bright pink dog boots on her feet flashes on the screen.]
Ilya: And will this be an easy game, Shane?
Shane: You'd think so, but no. No, I don't think it will be.

Summary
She’d never say anything, of course, because she could be wrong. In fact, most days Yuna was certain she was wrong. Shane had only ever dated girls, and had never shown any outright signs of liking… anything else. But that didn’t stop her from wondering, occasionally, whether her son was entirely straight.
But the last hour or so had certainly put paid to that suspicion. Because Shane was receiving a frankly alarming number of texts from someone named ‘Lily’.Or: Yuna and David meet Ilya Rozanov at the hospital after Shane’s injury.

Summary
Even though Shane vowed it wouldn't happen again, it did. He woke up mid-panic, clawing at his sweaty clothes like they were holding him down. He stifled his voice, hoping he was quick enough to not wake Ilya. He felt his husband's hands on his back anyway, squeezing tightly and caressing his shoulders—pulling him out of the nightmare and back into their safe, warm bed.
Shane didn't know how to explain what was happening to him. He didn't have a fever, but he was sick—sick with something he couldn't describe.
Something so bad he kept falling on the ice.
Shane couldn't go on like this. Fuck moderation. He had to figure something out and fix this. Fast. He wasn't going to let hockey be taken from him.

Summary
Set several months before the tuna melt:
The officer points at his entryway. “We noticed a doorbell camera when we entered. Is there a way we can take a look at that footage?”
Ilya frowns. The footage would easily prove that he spent the night at home, but it would also prove that he wasn’t alone. And if these cops know Ilya Rozanov, then they definitely know Shane Hollander.
“I’d like to know what this is about.”
“Shane Hollander was attacked outside of his hotel early this morning. The medical staff report he was saying your name."
