“I was never very good with hair,” she said, lip curling with sour humor. “I’d have Preia do it, but I’d rather no one else know about this. I’m sure you can understand that.”
Dorian drew a deep breath through his nose to cool the anger that frothed in him. With surpassing calm, he promised, “I’m going to kill you.”
The infuriating smile broadened. “Yeah. You thought.” And she lifted her shears and stepped closer.
