Summary
So. Sobriety it is. Just a nice, sober night, all alone, waiting for Mike to get back. If he gets back. Maybe he’ll be… otherwise occupied.
Will groans and flips over, pressing his face angrily into his pillow. Stupid Will. Stupid brain. Stupid jealousy.
He’ll just sleep. He’ll just sleep, and he will not dream, and if he does he’ll forget about it. It’s fine. He’s fine. Everything is fine.
He doesn’t know which he’s more afraid of: the bad dreams, or the good ones.

After season 4, Mike comes back from a party drunk. Some things happen. Words are said. (idk i’m bad at summaries just read it)

Summary
“If you’re done ogling my son, why don’t you aim at the target,” Hopper says with forced casualness, like he’s not actively melting Mike’s brain from embarrassment. He was just admiring his friend! Who has muscles now!! That’s a completely normal guy thing to do, if all the buff men in his dad’s Men’s Club magazines are anything to go by.
“Not. Ogling,” Mike grits out as Hopper pushes his elbows down not-so-gently. “And would you stop manhandling me?” He wishes Will were the one teaching him instead. He wouldn’t mind Will’s hands on-
Alarms blare in his head. ABORT ABORT.
Or: Mike Wheeler experiences the five stages of grief, gay panic, and death by emotional vulnerability (the horror!!)

Summary
“This is about Mike,” El said, her amusement palpable.
”You could — say that,” Will said, haltingly. “I just. You’re the only one in the party who’s been on dates and stuff that aren’t with someone they’ve been seeing for years, and I need to know how to do that.”
El made a strange noise he couldn’t decipher. There was the muffled sound of someone covering the receiver, and a sound not unlike a tea kettle going off, and then El was back in his ear and saying, “I see.”
When they move into a new apartment as juniors, Will decides he has to learn to get over Mike. Going on a bunch of dates with new guys will definitely make things easier, and they’ll both be very normal about it.

Summary
"I- shut up," Mike mumbles, turning back around and placing the potato firmly back with the others. "My point," he continues, and Will had not previously realized that he had a point to speak of but whatever, he can roll with it- "Is that it wouldn't matter. Because this is important to you, so it's important to me by proxy."
Oh.
"Oh," Will says aloud, a little stunned with the ease with which Mike says it, like it's just a fact and he doesn't even have to think about it. He's pretty sure his face is bright red right about now, and is proven right when Mike grins proudly and sticks a finger into his cheek.
"Oh," Mike echoes, bright and happy, and Will's blush deepens as Mike swoops in to press a kiss to his forehead.
or: the byers family is very committed to their traditions, and mike is very committed to will.

Summary
From somewhere in the house, floorboards creak, and Nancy freezes, grip on her water glass tightening. She holds her breath, counts to ten three times over, and then, when nothing jumps out of the (albeit limited) darkness to attack her, she relaxes, taking another steadying sip of water and shaking her head, annoyed with herself.
“Nancy?” a voice asks from the doorway, and she drops the glass.
Nancy is a little intimidated by Will, even though she has approximately zero reasons to be.
