Ilya really wanted to bend Hollander’s head back and sink his teeth down on that thick Canadian neck of his. “Fuck, Hollander, can I kiss you?”
Shane looked surprised. “Really? Is that part of it?”
Ilya scanned his face. “Part of what?”
“…this?”
Well, now Ilya was curious. “What is this?”
Shane scoffed. “I don’t know, whatever it is you do with your hookups once you have them sitting on your kitchen island? You know, after you fold their clothes so nicely?”
“What?”
“You’ve already seduced me, okay?"
Ilya felt the air punch out of him as if he’d missed a step, landed too soon at the bottom. Ilya was never uncertain in sex; it was the language that, up until now, he felt pretty sure he spoke universally well.
“Shane,” he said bluntly. “I come to your hockey team, okay yes. But you are the one who come to my house. And then you tell me to fold clothes nicely and here we are. Why not you seduced me.”

When Rozanov refuses to kiss or speak with him after they hook up, Shane decides to stop trying to make their not-relationship work. He doesn’t bother telling Rozanov. After all, Rozanov won’t care—he’s made that very, very clear.
