the cursed energy's right there, beneath their skin, coiled tightly, just waiting to spring forth and it won't fucking do it. ryō shakes their arm, slashes again, and again, futily. the cursed spirit watches. it unfurls from its defensive stance slowly, a grin spreading across its face. it's grotesque. it starts giggling, quietly, then starts cackling as the reality of the situation sets in for the both of them, swaying back and forth in unrestrained glee. ryō grits their teeth.
finally, they have to admit it. they don't have sukuna's technique.
"oh fuck me."
