Miles is Hogwarts newest, and perhaps only, transfer student. He is quickly deemed undesirable number one, as far as his peers and teachers are concerned. However, Miles soon has more important matters to deal with than popularity, such as why the Hogwarts Castle seems to be trying to kill him.
Also, just saying, Professor O'Hara is /super/ suspicious.

Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, Spider-Punk and Spider-Web are reluctant coworkers. They fight crime, protect New York and do everything they can to keep their vigilante identities secret from their totally normal, completely unsuspecting civilian roommates.

“Look,” Black Spider-Man raises both palms, like Miles is a scared animal. “I know this is a real big favour, but we really need that fixed. Like bad. And you’re the only one who can help us. And we promise, once it’s fixed— whatever you want, name it, it’s yours.”
Miles crosses his arms, and tries not to seem as moved as he feels. You like to be needed, you want to be useful. God, Peter, get out of his head already.
“Fine,” Miles agrees. “But you owe me.”
It’s uncanny, the way he can’t see his face but is sure that Black Spider-Man is grinning.
“My guy,” he says, and it sounds like an inside joke— double-sided with meaning.

Miles Morales 1610 has a pretty good thing going at the moment: he's New York's one and only Spider-man, and he's not half bad. Which is why it's a little less than ideal when an alternate version of himself, wearing his /uncle's/ suit, turns up and flips his normal teenage hero life upside down.
Meanwhile, Miles Morales 42 would just like to go home /immediately/ please and thank you. Oh yeah, and get this idiot of a doppelganger away from him before he loses his mind.)

Summary
The only ones who didn’t look like Peter had stepped on a puppy were Ham - nonchalant as ever - and some Spider with spikes on his head, whose eyes had widened. In fact, if Peter were to guess by the Spider’s body language, he seemed almost… alert. Excited.
Peter wasn’t really sure what to make of that.
