Summary
The boy is resting his head on his hand just now, pale fingers woven through silver strands, and it's maybe the most beautiful thing Daichi has ever seen. But then he catches the curve of the boy's lips, which isn't right, because he never smiles when he's studying, only when he's with his friends. He's alone tonight, and when he's alone his gaze is only ever directed at his schoolwork.
But now his eyes are raised, warm under the heavy, golden lighting at the edge of the library, and he's looking right at Daichi.
Daichi drops his pencil. The boy's smile grows. "You were staring," he says.

In which Daichi learns that sketching cute strangers isn't necessarily wise, but can occassionally pay off.

kink meme prompt: So, when they were younger, Mako and Haru "got married." Fast forward to high school. Maybe Makoto is being flirted with/asked out and Haru pretty much states Makoto is already happily married.
'“But – I can’t be the bride!” Makoto exclaimed, waving his arms wildly – the ring went flying, bounced off the wall, and landed square in Rin’s laundry basket. “Last time I checked, I wasn’t a girl!”
Smiling sweetly, Rin pointed to the door. “There’s a bathroom just across the hall if you want to check again.”
Nagisa collapsed into another round of giggles. Makoto was all ready to continue protesting – he was bigger and stronger than Haru, and he was pretty sure that automatically designated him the groom in this wedding – but found himself silenced by the hand that clamped over his mouth. “Three against one,” Haru said, and then replaced his hand with his lips.'

It’s always been Makoto. Haruka can’t know which was the smile that did it; which brush of their hands or word of affirmation made him realize. He can’t point to one moment and say, "Right here, that’s when I knew." It was all of Makoto, all at once and over a lifetime.
