The Fount of Knowledge was a cookie.
Pure Vanilla Cookie felt ill. All his life he had heard vague tales of ‘The Fount’ and the infinite wisdom it was said to carry. Books on the matter were scarce. He had memories of late nights huddled on the floor of the library at the Academy, whispering in hushed voices with White Lily Cookie as he poured over page after page of stories. So much of the same stuff repeated, no new details. It was as if any real information on the ‘Fountain’ had been erased. As if it had been purposefully wiped clean out of the records.Who would want to erase such a thing? Who held such an ability to remove himself from the narrative? The Fount of Knowledge, the Virtue of Knowledge. It was all coming together now for Pure Vanilla. The Virtue of Knowledge was the Fount. Shadow Milk Cookie.
or, Pure Vanilla Cookie gets shoved back in time by billions of years. Back before the Beasts had defected and corrupted. He has a rare chance now, one he cannot afford to squander. Sure he had out maneuvered the Master of Deceit in the Spire, but how can he possibly hope to win against the embodiment of all Knowledge in a time not his own?

Summary
What lingers first in Pure Vanilla’s memory are two eyes— cyan and blue.
They were not simply colors, not merely shades to be catalogued among the blossoms that lined the Vanilla hills. They were shadows caught in ice, stars buried in snow. And in the middle of all that frost, a boy who looked too small for the crown that would one day press against his brow, eyes too large for the timid boy who held them.
Pure Vanilla had not known then that love could strike so young.
He had thought it the sort of thing that bloomed late, like the orchids that only flowered when the sun coaxed them after patient months of waiting.
But with Shadow Milk, it was not coaxed— it was immediate.
Pure Vanilla is six, and he knows he's in love.
