Summary

It is 1923, New York, at the height of the Jazz Age. In West Egg there lies a gothic mansion, misplaced among all the other shiny New Money estates. Week after week, the mysterious Mr. Frankenstein throws party after party at the Cadis Mansion, prompting onlookers to wonder where the money comes from, what he looks like, but most importantly — why he so generously opens the Cadis Mansion to the public.
Nick Clerval, a war veteran turned bonds salesman moves in next door. One day, he gets an invitation.
