Summary
And— Harrow had spent so long using her hands to hurt Gideon that she had trembled with the sheer and terrifying unfamiliarity of using them to hold her.
And Harrow just didn’t know what to do with any of that.

Summary
It's the late fall of 2015, and the Rockford University Peaches' softball season has finally come to a close with a division championship win. It doesn't mean much compared to a win in the spring, but it means the world to the seniors of the team. One senior in particular being shortstop Jess McCready.
As much as she loves playing ball, the break between now and spring training gives her time to focus on cleaning out the gen-eds she's put off for too long, and even more time to give to her pride and joy: her weekly radio show, WLEZ.
But without endless practices, scrimmages, and games to occupy most of her time, Jess' thoughts start to drift off, thinking about anything and everything under the cooling Illinois sun. Her brain's filled with new song lyrics, ideas of ways to redecorate the radio station, and...
Oh.
Lupe.

Summary
“Have you slept at all? It’s nearly morning,” Harrow said, almost exasperated, but more worried than anything else. Gross.
Gideon made another noncommittal noise. Harrow placed a hand on her shoulder; it was only then that she turned around to look at the other girl. Harrow’s face was unpainted– it was more and more these days, Gideon was too nervous to ask why– and her hair was unbrushed. She looked as if she had just woken up, which, of course, she had.
Gideon looked at her eyes last, because she always did. It was still strange, her own eyes in Harrow’s face. It was even stranger to look in the mirror and see Harrow’s black eyes looking back at her. It was a good kind of strange, though. It was a reminder of what she would never, not in her entire life, forget– that she was a part of Harrow now, and Harrow was a part of her. More simply, that she was Harrow’s, and Harrow was hers.
“Come back to bed, beloved," Harrow said, and Gideon couldn’t have argued with her if she wanted to.

Summary
“Gideon. What was it, what happened?”
At that name, that goddamn name, Kiriona Gaia met Harrow’s eyes, for the first time since Canaan house, since they were just the Reverend Daughter Harrowhark Nonagesimus and Gideon the Ninth.
“She kissed me,” Kiriona said, quietly. “She kissed me and I knew right then she wasn’t you.”***
Post-Nona, post-Griddlehark-reunion. Harrow can’t understand why Gideon is being cold to her. Kiriona just wants to be out of this room.Bookmarked by ethericatra
