The question seemed to shoot out of him, almost unintentionally. Like he had been thinking about it for forever and couldn’t help but ask.
“I don’t think I can do that,” Lucy answered in a whisper, gently stroking his arm to soften the rejection. “I haven’t played anything in a quite a while.”
“Come on,” he placed his other hand on hers, as if to beg. “I’m sure the great Lucy Carlyle could manage.”
or: Anthony Lockwood has a fever, and George is out of the house getting groceries; Good thing Lucy is there to take care of him. He never noticed it before, but Lucy has a guitar laying against her wardrobe?

It made him feel sick to his stomach.So when it turns out that he has to chaperone a field trip with him, Jonathan Sims, professor at Magnus University assumes it can only end in disaster. Life however, is full of surprises (as well as several coworkers and university students that are very invested in the two idiots' relationship).

"I really loved you, you know."
The statement was in the past-tense, unavoidably so. Like ships passing in the night, it seemed that Jon had come to his senses enough to love Martin anything close to the way he deserved just as Martin finally got over whatever had possessed him to care for Jon. So Jon had no right to the way Martin held him, at least no right to feel so at home in it. If Martin wanted to be affectionate with him, Jon didn’t think he could find it within himself to stop him even if he wanted to, but he would have to do his best to meter the fluttering of his heart and keep all his unwanted emotions tamped down.- Language:
