“Mr. Crowley, I presume?” Aziraphale asked in lieu of an introduction, which was not forthcoming. The guy hadn’t even removed his sunglasses. Oh God, he had a tattoo on his face. Aziraphale wasn’t one to judge, but… what kind of gardener had a snake tattoo on his face?

“But you admit it! You did tempt me!”

“I offered you warm food during a storm,” Crowley argues. “If you call that temptation, I’d hate to see you talk to an innkeeper.” Aziraphale scowls some more. Crowley shrugs. “Besides, no harm done. You seem to be enjoying yourself.”

He has Aziraphale there. “Still,” he says, spreading his hands wide. “It has to be said—” He glances up to the sky. “—for anyone listening, that I am not at fault for my appetite.”

“Never said you were,” Crowley says. “Just said you liked the oysters.”

    demon!aziraphale & angel!crowley:

It’s been thousands of years,” Crowley says, laughing wetly. “Are you ever going to admit that we're meant to do this?"

"By who, fate?" Aziraphale asks, skeptically.

    "Yes," Crowley says.

    “God?” Aziraphale clarifies.

    “Yes!”

“You think God Herself put an angel and a demon on Earth so they’d fall in love?” Aziraphale asks, trying to reign himself in from being mean and mostly failing. “Angel, love, you are so absurdly brilliant, I don’t understand how you could be this naive.”

Aziraphale's hand slides down past Crowley's hip to fist his cock in time with his thrusts, and he bites again, and again, down to Crowley's naked shoulder, up to his earlobe, not meaning to be sexy, just biting like he's eating, tasting the salt on Crowley's skin, like he might consume Crowley entirely if given enough time.

"Talk to me," he gasps, between thrusts, between bites, his voice shaking.

"No," Crowley grits out, just before he comes.

    Summary

Crowley folded his newspaper and accepted, with grim resignation, that he would have to try and save the world. It wasn’t that he particularly wanted to do it again; the first time had been bad enough and he’d needed an eleven-year-old to do the hard bit. He didn’t feel any kind of great love towards all living things at the moment, or have any heroic feelings. He simply knew that nobody else would do it.

And Aziraphale, who had stumbled his way into the centre of it all, would be trying desperately not to let it happen and failing, because Heaven wouldn’t let him succeed. One more time, and he resolved that it would be the very last time, Crowley would have to fix things for him.

Crowley goes on a road trip across America to delay the Second Coming. Aziraphale tries to teach angels about humanity. In between, they talk.
