The nerves that had been severed—not cleanly, never cleanly—still sent wrong signals to his brain. Phantom pain that made him reach back to touch something that hadn't been there in almost a year.

    The Invisible Mafia was gone now. Ashswag had been defeated, his empire dismantled just a few months ago. The server was free.
