Soulmates? No thanks, pass.
You could only imagine her horror when a strange, masked man wearing enemy clothes reveals that on the palm of his hand, was her name written in kanji.

Summary
A single, sharp thump against his ribs. Hard enough to feel. Hard enough that his breath hitched. He couldn’t stop watching Vox. Vox shining. Vox gloating. Vox destroying the King of Hell in front of thousands. Vox basking in triumph like it was a second skin.
The cameras zoomed in on his grin. The curve of neon light across his face, lit like desire or malice or both. Alastor’s fingers flexed against the restraints. The ropes burned. He liked it. Hated that he liked it. His smile didn’t break, but it faltered, just a flicker, a millisecond, a glitch. He felt heat coil in his gut, something foreign and unwelcome and dangerously alive.
“Damn you,” he whispered, barely audible, his radio voice cracking beneath the words.

Summary
After his big plan to rule the heavens goes down in flames, Vox finds himself powerless and out of luck. With no influence left and nowhere else to go, he somehow ends up at the Hazbin Hotel — and to his absolute horror, he’s stuck working there as the new receptionist.
He hates the job, he hates the guests, and he really hates that deer-looking sinner who won’t stop smirking at him. Most of the others have already lost their patience with him, but Charlie still insists on believing there’s some good left in him.
Of course, just when things couldn’t get worse, new problems start showing up at the hotel... and it doesn’t matter how much Vox complains, he’s getting dragged into it anyway.

Summary
“If he's part of your group,” the sheriff finally said, “then we go back.”
Glenn looked at him, surprised. “Are you sure? You don't have to.”
“Yes, I do,” Rick interrupted him, calmly but firmly. “If I start deciding who's worth it and who's not... I'm not going to get home being who I need to be.”
Elena.
Carl.
He could only think of them. They had known a man, and he had to remain that same man.
He couldn't, and shouldn't, allow himself to become someone they wouldn't recognize.
