“I also wanted to say thank you for letting me use your notes. Mr. Horan said they’d help. Here, I photocopied it, here’s the copy.” He pulled it out of his bag, almost handing it to Zayn before he cursed.
“Shit, that one’s mine. Sorry.” Liam blushed furiously as he procured another copy from his bag, thrusting this one at Zayn.
“Gotta run! Catch you later!” He called, the door of the shop tinkling as he walked out. Zayn smiled to himself as he thought about what had just happened. Although both copies should have been exactly the same, Liam gave him the one Zayn had originally given him with the two flowers. Only now, the captain of the footie team had drawn a whole meadow around the two original flowers.
“How sweet.” Zayn whispered, getting up and throwing away his coffee cup. He felt ten times better than he had before, and seeing the captain of the footie team draw a meadow lifted his mood greatly. He looked at Liam fondly as they walked their separate directions to the footie pitch and the observatory. -

Summary
Zayn and Liam have been best mates ever since the formation of their band, back when they had no idea what they were doing. Of course, they loved Harry and Louis and Niall, but they always had a special sort of bond. One drunken night, Zayn steps up their bond. They agree to not let it interfere with their work, and to not let it interfere with their friendship.
Besides, it was just one time.
((This timeline of events is so messy i'm so sorry. So basically it's set during their MM phases, but they haven't put out the album yet they're still writing it. Also that one time when Liam broke his hand bc he punched the wall? That's set during this just pretend and please bear with me.))

Or the one where Stiles doesn't love anyone but stays with his boyfriend because he helps him pay the bills and he's completely dependent otherwise, but after one night of drunken sex with someone who definitely isn't his boyfriend he's not so independent any more.

Disappointed it didn't work out? Sure. Sad? After he saw on fucking Instagram that Niall was home from his holiday and he hadn't heard from him? Obviously. Angry? That too, shortly after it was clear Niall was back to his old self-professed carefree ways.
But hate? Hardly. Not with the way Harry's insides twist when he thinks about him. Which is why he tries so hard not to let himself do it.
The hiatus was meant to be for the band, not for Niall and Harry's relationship. But one year in they've hardly spoken to each other. And because they're both stubborn, neither of them is going to be the first to break the ice.

Zayn is a world renowned YouTube star who has a staggering 10 million subscribers to his diverse channel. He's not always been so famous, had his fair share of problems back then but now he's focused primarily on his channel and bringing a smile go everyone's face. He loves his fans and makes sure to remind them of that at every chance he gets. Liam is Zayn's biggest fan. He's watched Zayn's channel since his videos were outdated, grainy shots from a mobile phone camera to the neatly polished videos he posts every few days. Liam's been a fan through if all. He's only met Zayn once but he plans to meet him again no matter how many people take the piss out of him and no matter how many people shove him into lockers. He loves Zayn so dearly that it's no surprise that when Zayn announces a competition to win the chance to meet and travel with Zayn, he's so excited. Except Liam's luck is something out of a bad comedy.

Summary
The boy now in front of his desk, staring down at him, has these big round eyes the color of honey and the chocolates he and his sisters used to sneak when they were younger. Liam stands there, hand moving to the back of his head and messing with his short sandy, chestnut hair that’s done up in a small quiff. It’s an odd stance for someone of his stature. He’s all broad shoulders but somehow he seems petite in a way Zayn can’t figure out. Like one of those big dogs that think they’re small enough to be a lap dog. Someone that probably doesn’t know his own strength. Endearing.
Or the one where Zayn is a socially awkward, anxiety ridden, introvert and Liam is a happy-go-lucky star football player. They get assigned to work on a project together and Zayn starts to wonder just how much he really likes to be alone.
