Jin Ling was frozen. The cultivator standing over him was someone he had never seen before, but his face, though twisted in anger, was inexplicably familiar. He had seen those eyes before, that brow and that nose, on someone else's face. There shouldn't have been anyone in his clan that he didn't recognize, unless these were some kind of imposters, but then he glanced down and figured out the reason.
Pointed at his chest was an all too familiar sword. This cultivator was holding Suihua.

He stopped running only a short way out of the doctor's compound, realizing he was already somewhat surrounded by the disciples that were chasing him and the ones that had been waiting outside.
Hanguang-jun quickly caught up with him, worry written across every line of his face. He approached slowly, keeping some distance as he began to plead, "Wei Ying, please listen—"
"No, you listen to me, Hanguang-jun." Wei Wuxian cut him off with a sneer. "You're out of line! Do you think you can just kidnap people as you see fit? Lock me up for crimes I didn't even commit? You think I'm just gonna sit there and let you do whatever you want to me?"
Hanguang-jun looked like he was about to cry.

But, as a resident of Qifrey’s atelier, there were other, more important tasks than just relaxing. Just a week from now would be Agott’s birthday! It was of utmost priority to Coco. She had to get the most wonderful, amazing, perfect gift for the other girl.

“Master! Master Qifrey! Coco’s hurt!”
Agott’s worried voice echoes from upstairs in the entry hall, carrying down the steps into the kitchen where Qifrey is working.
“I–I’m ok!” Coco hollers in reassurance, but Qifrey’s hands have already dropped the herbs they were binding without a second thought, leaving a scatter of tranquileaf sprigs strewn about the counter. The tone of Agott’s voice had sent a hot jolt of protective fear through his insides, his heart leaping to his throat, beating fast. He nearly trips over his skirt as he hustles up the stone steps into the living room.
.................................................Coco gets a nasty boo-boo, and Qifrey helps get her fixed up. Some big feelings come to the surface and they share an emotional moment.
