The plans flickered on the screen behind him. Fanboy exchanged a nervous look with Phoenix, and Bob stiffened in his seat. The Death Star was the Empire’s secret weapon, and it had remained largely a myth to anyone who had not witnessed its destruction first hand. Even in the Academy, few knew exactly what it did. But one thing was for sure: it was larger and more deadly than any weapon seen before.
Hangman shifted in his seat. “With all due respect, sir, what has this got to do with us?”

“…and that’s why Warhol was one of the most influential…” Steve’s laptop emitted a high-pitched beep and the screen turned blue. Steve sighed in frustration as the machine whirred to a stop once more.
“Damnit,” he muttered under his breath, pressing the laptop’s power button in the hope that something would happen. Nothing did. He sighed and closed the lid, then stood up, placing the device back in his bag. He would have to pay the Help Bar another visit.

Eddie turns the page of his book. “Talk about what?” he asks, his words a deliberate sort of quiet, as if he’s worried about waking Buck up. And God, if that doesn’t make the ache around Buck’s heart pulse.
“The 6’5 giant using your lap as a pillow?”
Okay, great. Now Buck is not only taking advantage of his best friend, but he’s doing it while eavesdropping on a conversation about him that they all think he’s too asleep to hear.

It messes with his brain, until Eddie speaks again, “I’ll pretend to only be a little offended none of you have thought to ask me before, but Buck, I’ve fixed a lot of cars. I can look at yours.”

Alex blinked. After two weeks of hearing nothing but the voices of snooty men and frazzled secretaries calling in, the person on the other line now sounded decidedly neither snooty nor male nor in any way adult.
It was a little girl.
"Mr. Fox-Mountchristen's unfortunately in a meeting right now,” Alex began slowly, “but I could take a message?"
"Oh." The girl paused. "You're not Mr. Hunter."
Alex starts a new job as Henry's new assistant. Henry's daughter keeps calling the office and leaving him messages.
