“Jesus Christ.” Shane murmured as he held his pay in his right hand, and an extra three hundred fucking dollars in his left. He tucked his money back in the envelope, then placed the extra, along with the two hundred from last week, onto the kitchen counter. He waited diligently for Ilya’s return.
“Mr. Rozanov. Mila is asleep, has been for about 45 minutes. Um. You’ve given me too much money again.” Shane said awkwardly, blushing as he did, “I uh– left it on the counter. My rate is $25 an hour. Just to... y’know, remind you–”
“I know.”
“Oh. Okay. Well that’s... good. Wait.. what?” Shane was really fucking tired and he was pretty sure that Rozanov just told him that he knew how much money Shane charged, knew that he was giving Shane way too goddamn much of it.

Ilya Rozanov wants to eat Shane Hollander alive (which is precisely what Hayden Pike is worried about.) Haas meets the Holy Spirit, and he has facial piercings. _“Do you do tricks on front porch in Switzerland?”
Luca was silent for a long moment. Ilya assumed he had butchered some translation. “Do you have chicken treats, Haas?”
“Sir, I do not know what any of that means.”
Yes, Ilya had definitely butchered something. Probably all of it.
“Nevermind. Can you dress like a fun little boy right now?”
Another long silence. Ilya waited. Checked his watch. Waited.
Luca finally answered, voice careful around the words it spoke. “I do not think so.”
“That is fine. I will pick you up in 15 minutes and we will go to visit the Holy Spirit together, da? Be ready.”

Summary
Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander have hated each other for three seasons. kind of hate where Ilya hit Shane into the boards so hard his ears rang for a week, and where Shane's smile after blocking Ilya's game-winning shot was the most devastating fuck you either had witnessed.
So when Ilya shows up at Shane’s apartment at 2am on a Tuesday, barely standing, blood dried at his hairline and his hands shaking so badly he can barely knock, Shane doesn’t understand what to do at first, or why Ilya is here, of all places.
He opens the door.
Ilya has a split lip, bruises turning dark across his cheekbone, His eyes are hollow in a way Shane’s never seen them before. He tries so hard to hold himself together, there’s something about seeing him like this. Ilya, who’s never been anything but sharp, mean and untouchable, that makes Shane’s chest feel like it’s ready to cave in.
“Jesus Christ” Shane breathes. “Ilya-”
“Didn’t know where else to go.” Ilya’s accent is thicker when he’s barely holding on, all his carefully practiced English slipping. He won’t look at Shane. “I-sorry. This was stupid. I’ll-”

Summary
Shane Hollander is 18 years old and a beta when he first competes at World Juniors in Saskatchewan. Shane's only expectation is to bring home gold. Instead, Shane unexpectedly presents as an omega during the gold medal game against Russia. Luckily, his rival Ilya Rozanov is there to help Shane, which is a good thing because Shane knows nothing about being an omega. Rozanov kindly offers to extend his stay to help Shane through his first heat.
Only months later, Shane discovers that he came home with a whole lot more than a silver medal and an unwanted new designation. Somehow he's carrying the baby of a man who lives on the other side of the world. A man who never offered his phone number and doesn't have any social media to speak of.
Somehow Shane is going to have to find a way to explain why he's suddenly pulling out of the 2009 draft, come to terms with giving up hockey and caring for a baby completely alone. All while desperately wishing he could share the joys of first smiles and the stress of sleepless nights with the alpha he's never quite been able to forget.
