Summary
Jayce returns from the future, but cannot bring himself to keep his promise; rather than destroying Viktor, Jayce attempts to save the world by loving him, instead.
And as for Viktor’s depleting power source- well, fortunately Jayce’s trips through the Wild Rune left him with a built-in solution for that, too.
(Oh, they could have used his blood- the magic permeated through all the fluids in his body- but wasn’t this so much better?)
A medical emergency in the mines leaves the Herald weakened to incapacitation. Someone better find the Defender- only he can restore our Lord to good health again.

Summary
He goes lower, wishing Viktor’s shirt was off so he could see more. There’s red marks on his thighs from his leg brace, his knee even more acutely angled without it. It’s perfectly imperfect, and Jayce almost reaches out to massage the meat of Viktor’s thigh before he stops himself.
But why? Why stop himself? Viktor is passed out cold. Even if he does wake up, what’s to say he’ll remember anything in the morning?
