“- er, yes, thank you. I don’t know how this works. I don’t feel like killing anyone.” He sinks morosely into the hotel chair and stares at his own hands. “Not yet, at least.”

Amidst the people she's starting to call her friends, is Bellamy Blake: heroic firefighter, exemplary Lieutenant, complete asshole. Normally, this would have been fine - it's not the first time she's had to work with someone she despised.
Except dreams keep plaguing her.

Summary

Circumstances in the finale take a different turn, and it’s Clarke who throws herself into the fray to save Bellamy. Stuck outside of the dropship together, they run for their lives.

Summary
In the year 2097, humanity takes to space like it once took to the skies. No longer restricted to remain on Earth, the nations of Earth strengthen their commitments to the United Nations and form the UNSEC, the United Nations Space Exploration Council, to further explore and expand throughout the galaxy. In 2113, UNSEC confirms that we are not alone and by 2167 it has begun work on three important treaties. A dispute between Earth and Rathal over a mineral-rich unoccupied planet in the Auri System contributes to tension between the two planets.
Clarke Griffin is in her final year of completing a degree in exobiology from the Northern University of UNSEC in Boston. Her plan - a PhD in neuro exochemistry for her, an officer's rank and a ship for Raven, and a diplomatic position on a far-flung planet for Octavia. Together they planned to explore the uncharted.
Plans change.
