Summary
Itadori Yuji has been having the same recurring nightmare since he was fifteen years old. In it, he watches a man get cut in half at the waist and die. He’s never seen the man’s face, but he knows it’s always the same man. He’s never met the man before, but he wakes up crying over his death every time.
Ten years on and finally at the end of his rope over how much the nightmare has been affecting his personal life, Yuji accepts a referral from his psychiatrist for a highly expensive but nationally recognised dream therapist.
And this is where our love story begins—if it ever really ended, at all.

Sukuna is in prison. Again. Every few years they round him up on the charges that'll stick and throw him into Kuchu, a prison dedicated to holding the worst criminals the country can offer. Close to a decade in and out, Sukuna has carved out his corner, and with six months to a year, he's content to be left alone. Then a new cook starts. A boy with bright eyes and an even brighter smile. Yuuji, a newly minted chef who has taken this job because he wants to help people, because he believes in reformation, even for the worst of them. Yuuji, who even starts to worm his way under Sukuna's skin.
But Yuuji isn't the only change at Kuchu, and Sukuna isn't the only one who can feel it. There's something malicious forming at Kuchu. There's a murmuring in the walls, an uprising in the wind. With enemies inside and out, Sukuna can't help but wait for the other shoe to drop. Good. Things were starting to become boring around here.

“A potato?” the boy said, squinting. “A pink potato?”
“Blue!” Yuuji said brightly, for this was one of the few words that he confidently knew. He reached up with grabby hands. “Blue!”
Or, Yuuji doesn’t think his life can get any better with how well everything has been going lately, especially after all the chaos that unfolded last semester. In fact, it’s been going so well that he’s sometimes anxious about when the other shoe will drop.
