To this day, Soonyoung's glad that he met Wonwoo before he received his specialised powers, because Wonwoo's scared of birds, and if he knew that Soonyoung was going to become a bird whisperer, he probably would've never wanted to be Soonyoung's friend.
Things always sour a little when he's walking home with Wonwoo before sparrow or robin friends might fly over to say hi and Soonyoung greets them happily, enamoured by their excited twitters as they melt into Soonyoung's magical aura of comfort designed just for them - then he'll look up moments later and Wonwoo's no longer by his side, and he sees a text on his phone reading, 'Sorry, headed on first. Have fun with the birds.'
Soonyoung can't blame him. If Soonyoung was scared of something, he'd want to get away from it, too. Yet he can't help but feel put out as he walks home alone, wishing sometimes that Wonwoo could just suck it up and stay with him; but then Wonwoo texts him a silly pun, sends a ramen selfie, or does literally anything, and Soonyoung loves him again.
