Summary
(HIATUS: I am currently rewriting this from the beginning because I just didn't like some parts and it was affecting my motivation. New chapters will be coming soon!)
Sometimes, the situation one is presented with is unavoidable. It may ache and burn and hurt beyond belief, but it is a fate that cannot be escaped.
Izuku Midoriya has known what it feels like to hurt since day one.
He is not lucky. He is not loved. And he wants nothing more than to save everyone (and serve revenge to those who deserve it-- not all motives are heroic, after all).
He can only try his best to get there before the weight comes caving in on him. He doesn't have much hope that he'll survive the inevitable collapse of his own unavoidable situation. He is a building and the walls are caving in. What will he do when he's buried in rubble with no way out?
OR
Izuku becomes a vigilante, meets pro hero Eraserhead and makes a series of decisions that lead him to class 1-A and villain attacks on his class that aren't quite as they seem.

Summary
Birthdays aren't meant to be spent alone.
He imagines things being different. He imagines sitting in the same apartment but instead of cold permeating the air, he imagines being filled with warmth. He imagines being surrounded by people and colour and life. He imagines smiling and laughing and, for the first time in his life, spending his birthday with friends.
Izuku dreams for a very long time.

One for All and All for One clash as they were always destined to. Nothing but destruction is left in their wake.
They've been dealt unfortunate hands in life. Not much can be done to fix what has been broken.
(A battle is won, and the victory feels hollow. Perhaps, heroes and villains have never really differed. Perhaps they are two sides of the same coin, driven and determined in wildly different ways. Perhaps the only real difference is the midst of battle, and what comes next).
Regardless, the world still turns and rain will pour.

Sekijirou blinks at him. "He's— what."
"A cat."
"Okay," Sekijirou says, voice surprisingly high in his shock. "Want to explain why?"
"Because it's Midoriya," Shouta grumbles, waving his other hand in the air like that explains it. And it does, really, because of course it's Midoriya. The universe has decreed that if there's trouble in Shouta’s life, then Midoriya is going to be at the heart of it.
Shouta isn't convinced that Midoriya being a cat for a week is going to be easy. Apparently, this might be one of the rare times he's wrong.

They were custom-made and bought off of Etsy for fifty dollars. Katsuki may or may not have originally purchased them as a gag gift for their class’s annual White Elephant last year, but then liked them too much and decided to keep them for himself. He also may or may not have been waiting for the best opportunity to show them off.
“So I can crush you every day, idiot.”
OR
Five years after graduation, sometimes Izuku wakes up in the middle of the night, the image of Kacchan lying dead in a pool of own blood burning through his memory, and cannot fall back asleep.
Five years after graduation, Katsuki is still waiting for Izuku to stop trying to do everything by himself.
