“I don’t see anyone else around…” he pauses, wordlessly asking for a name to put to a face.
“Cyno.”
“Tighnari,” he offers a name alongside his hand, Cyno hesitantly taking both.Making their goodbyes, Tighnari watches the other retreat into the middle distance. Cyno wouldn’t be back this way for another three months. But that was more than fine; Tighnari was a patient man.
That’s why he waited until 3:45pm- just before the rest of the classes were officially dismissed- to make his way down the empty streets toward Sumeru City. It is why he finally allowed the Mycology professor to borrow his research- to justify his presence on campus. It’s why he jostled the papers in his arms as he moved, purposefully fumbling. All because Tighnari had planned to trip and fall, scattering his papers to the ground before the Matra with pale hair and amber eyes.

Ghost felt the blood run in rivulets down his back. The thick liquid ran to the dip of his spine and followed it down to his tailbone. Where it was caught by his hands, the rope around his wrists had to be soaked pink by now. He gasped softly around the cloth shoved in his mouth, balaclava pushed up to his nose. It was hard for him to see as some of the fabric was in front of his eyes and sweat was pouring past his eyelashes.
Ghost needs to let go once in a while, Let Soap strip away everything, and just make him feel alive. Soap gets to claim something in return.
