Moze remembers watching Jiaoqiu roll onto the blankets, laying on his side with his tail curled lazily over his hip, scrolling idly on his phone. He’d changed into the complimentary silk pyjamas supplied by the inn and they’d been too loose on him, the waistband sitting on his hips and the shirt rucking up to expose his soft waist and pale stomach. Moze, crawling into the bed beside him, had stared intently at the expanse of skin, ready to say something about sleeping with his stomach uncovered — and then had promptly dozed off under the dual assault of exhaustion and the body heat radiating from Jiaoqiu like a furnace.
Then he wakes up to the familiar smell of chilli and spices and oil, a trace of warmth still lingering in the blankets beside him.
Moze, and his tribulations in late night deliveries, and showers, and Jiaoqiu.

Summary
Aventurine always hired random escorts to accompany him through his heats. A different one every time, all to prevent anyone from getting too close.
