Summary
The look on Miyuki’s face when he finally turns toward him makes it hard to swallow. There’s a hollowness in his eyes unfamiliar to Youichi; his lips dip down in defeat, as if to say: “Go on, pity me. I won’t fight back.” Youichi realizes that this version of Miyuki—the one who wordlessly hands over his t-shirt—is him with his armor fully removed.
It’s a harrowing sight.
Youichi may have told him to break down after they won; but there’s nothing that could have prepared him for when this moment finally comes.
Miyuki breaks down; Kuramochi is there to help build him back up.

Summary
"Miyuki Kazuya!"
The kid's voice is high and squeaky and full of joy and he flashes Miyuki with a grin that's missing one of his front teeth. Not far behind him comes a young man chasing him down.
"Eijun!" the man yells, grabbing the kid's hand when he finally catches up. "Sorry, I told him not to run off."
"Uh, no, it's fine," Miyuki insists. He's rendered speechless for a moment as he studies the young man: his coiffed green hair, the angled set of his jaw, how he cuts a nice figure in his button-down shirt and jeans. Miyuki blinks away his stupor and turns to the kid standing before him.
"I caught it!" Eijun blurts, positively beaming as he pulls a baseball out of his glove to show Miyuki. "I caught your home run, Miyuki Kazuya!"

Summary
Kuramochi hasn’t seen Miyuki since high school graduation, eight years ago. A lot has changed since then, but when their paths unexpectedly cross again, maybe less has changed than he’d thought.

Summary
Eijun made loving so easy. It was no effort to want to check in on how his day was, or breathe deeply into the crook of his neck after a long, tiring day; catalogue cafés to take him to; memorise the contours of his back and the shape of his hips. It was like a blink, or a heartbeat — it was a constant automated instinct of survival to love him and want him because Eijun was so good in all he did or said, and it was all the more heightened by getting his love back.
