Instead, he was greeted by a wall of muscle—a broad, incredibly toned chest stretching fabric that looked one deep breath away from popping.
Who was this man, and why was he taller than Phainon, but still sounded like him?
Slowly, cautiously, Anaxa lifted his gaze.
It was Phainon.
But also...not?

Phainon was fantastic at making him feel at home, and Anaxa hated that, because Phainon wasn't supposed to be his home.
Every time he smiled softly with those pretty blue eyes of his, or smirked after a witty remark during a debate, Anaxa felt a fluttering feeling in his chest that he shouldn't feel. Sometimes he wondered how bad could it be if he kissed him. If he let Phainon advance on him. Then his husband would cuddle against him. Hide his face on Anaxa's chest, and he would feel so guilty.
More than once he found himself sitting on his bed thinking what to do. Memories of his sister came to his mind.
"Listen baby brother, you need to find someone who will treat you right. Someone who knows how to reciprocate all your love and effort."
He chuckled sadly at the memory. His sister never told him what he was supposed to do when he found two people that treated him right.
Or, Anaxa vowed himself to the god of the Sun in body and mind, so why is he developing feelings for the human called Phainon?
