He can’t wait for Christmas because his parents finally agreed to let him stay a week at Yukikaze’s place! He’s not excited about Yukikaze. It would’ve been better if Yukikaze was out of the equation, actually. Good riddance. However, without the guy, Kaede and Momiji won’t have any reason to stay a week here in HAMA because staying in his place is awful because he’s a stranger but he’s not! He’s their friend too. But, Kafka has known that being a blood relative is heavier in the grand scheme of things so he gets why they have to stay with Yukikaze, their cousin.
Besides, if being family matters more than being friends then all Kafka has to do is marry Kaede and they’ll be family, and they’ll both be able to stay at his place because they’re family.
(Although, marriage means he’ll be relatives with Yukikaze too. Just the thought of the man calling him ‘brother’ without him being able to deny it because they really are, technically, brothers because marriage does that and that makes Kafka shudder.)

this is a fic worth reading! the premise and the world the author created is intriguing. it'll be a great basis for writers who want to try something new, they should at least consult the original author first though. the characterization is not on-point, this is more like face and name claim. MAJOR SPOILER!!! i'm bitter about hoshi being a bad guy though — fyi, i'm a horangdan.
