Kakashi is constantly fighting tooth and nail to be the one to look after Naruto when Minato had died, after the great tailed beast attack. Kakashi, at the ripe age of 14, was going to take in a child. But the Hokage forbade it, telling him '14 is too young. Wait until you're older.' So fine. Kakashi would wait. He'd protect that last of Minato's legacy even if it killed him. Maybe he'd pick up a few more kids on the way.

He warned them. Repeatedly. Kakashi didn’t want a genin team. Kakashi had no idea of what to do with a genin team. He was self-aware enough to know he wasn’t quite right in the head. He should not be trusted with a bunch of children.
But did the Sandaime hear him? No, because the Sandaime wasn’t Minato-sensei and the old man never listened to him. And he went ahead with the brilliant idea of saddling him with his dead sensei’s son, Itachi’s little brother, and a kunoichi who was so much a cannon fodder that she had a literal target on her bright red dress.
He would not be blamed for the shitshow that was about to start.
OR.
Kakashi only knows how to teach three things: survival, assassination, and pretending to be normal. Good thing that's exactly what his cute little genins need to learn. And if they also learned how to be a family in the process, well, that's just a bonus.

There was still one thing he could do right. Something he could fix.
Sasuke touched his index and ring fingers to the lilac diamond in the center of Sakura's forehead, resolved. He pushed his breathing to calm down, and the corners of his vision—darkened by lack of oxygen—slowly became clear again.
He concentrated on the warm feeling inside her, on the warmth of Naruto and Kakashi's chakra, and on the pulsing in his left eye, and at last Sasuke allowed himself to agree with the voice that had been roaring in his ears nonstop.
“No.”
He was not going to accept a damn thing of what had just happened.
Only Sakura's promise from before she was put under a genjutsu made sense.
Everything should be as it was before.
The sealing mark on Sakura's forehead lit up like a beacon through his fingers, as the scenery around them erupted in colors like a kaleidoscope.
“I will see you soon.”
Sasuke activated Izanagi.
