Summary
Two months before the Season 5 timeskip, Will Byers meets Julian Mercer in the worst place and the best moment.
Julian, a city boy from Indianapolis, drives three hours to Hawkins to see his brother, a firefighter who was found under the rubble of the earthquake in the earthquake of '86. If his brother doesn't wake up in three months, he and his family are planning on pulling the cord. Julian Mercer has no reason to like this town, but he finds reasons to stay.
