They’d sipped from plastic cups of cheap wine until they were the last people left three times, and then they’d fallen into a cab back to Brooklyn, and then up four flights of stairs to her apartment, and then into her bed three times. He’d woken up three mornings with her hair in his mouth and her pillow creases on his cheek."
