Summary
As a Hydro Dragon, Neuvillette can usually survive on water, but once a month he needs to consume life in a liquid form. Usually this unfortunate dietary need is met by Fontaine’s donations and is carefully accumulated.
Then one afternoon, an attempt to ransack the Palais Mermonia leaves Neuvillette without his reserves.To ensure the safety of the city, he forces himself to spend the night in the depths and try to feed off of wildlife, but he accidentally stumbles across a human.

Neuvillette folds his arms over his chest, his leg bouncing for a brief moment. “I suppose it depends on your definition of friend.”
“Someone who sees you as Neuvillette. Not the Chief Justice, not the Iudex, just Neuvillette.”
The silence between them lasted for quite a while after those words left Wriothesley’s lips.
