Sherlock thought that was the end of it, when Billy suddenly said, “You know, I’ve always thought you two had something, but brushed the idea off. A detective and a criminal can’t have a relationship, right?”
Billy strode aimlessly across the room, swinging a knife with a slice of apple stuck on the sharp tip of it, as if provoking Sherlock at the idea. “But when you two had that majestic performance at the bridge, I thought ‘Oh, maybe they’re really in love with each other!’ I can see the way you look at him, you know?”
