It felt impossible to relax, and yet so, so safe. Safe enough he was being asked to do the impossible and hadn’t immediately baulked and jumped out the window . . .
Not that he wasn’t still considering it.
“That was an accident, last time,” Harry quietly insisted.
Leaning down so closely that their foreheads nearly touched, Voldemort performed the rare act of repeating himself. “Say it,” he whispered again. Something dark and fathomless swam in the blacks of his eyes. Harry didn’t care to know what it was. Many things about him were best left nameless.
