The world is loud, but never when they're together.
But there's always that damn line.
Prim has built her career around talking about athletes, even if it's the worst moment of their lives, including Bambi's. They're close, sure, but there seems to be an ocean that separates them. And no matter how much they want to cross it, a line is drawn.

Fond’s composure cracks. It’s barely perceptible—her lips part, the corners of her mouth softening, the slight falter in her steady gaze. When she speaks, the teasing is gone entirely. No smile. No lazy drawl. Just a quiet, unsteady truth.
“And if I did?”
