Summary
“Fuck!” a high-pitched voice whisper-shouts, followed by a series of metallic clanks against the grimy tile of the gas station. A quarter lands at Yuri’s feet, quickly chased by a blur of messy pink hair. Natsuki abruptly stops at Yuri’s feet, looking at her wide-eyed and crazed.
“Oh…” Natsuki gapes, dumbly holding the quarter up, still crouched at Yuri’s feet. “Hey, Yuri.”
“Hello,” Yuri smiles serenely. “You’re out late.”

Summary
Monika is a tired, overworked high school student. She doesn't know why she ever left the debate club, and the outcome of her decision looks even more bleak with every moment. Sayori is a bottle of sunshine whose spark has been extinguished by the world around her. This all changes when these parallel paths miraculously converge; Sayori illuminates Monika's world, showing her a creative clarity that she previously thought impossible.
Yuri is a socially outcasted bookworm who delves into her books for a world that accepts her. When she sees a poster for a new literature club, it's as if all of her inhibitions have disappeared--this club allows her to be the eloquent, passionate academic of her dreams. Natsuki is a mean, insecure lover of all things manga; like Yuri, she longs for a world that accepts her, but her tough exterior seems to repel everyone brave enough to approach. These two similar yet different girls find social refuge in a place that understands their unique nuances and treasures them.
Together, they build so much more than a literature club. This tale is one of strife, unlikely friendship, and recovery against all odds.
